The Savant system is not great. The user interface on this app is beyond terrible. To make things worse Savant actually seems to think its ok. Maybe even good. For Savant: - Please allow your users to customize screens. We know how we want to use your system better than you do. Let us pick what buttons we want for a function and things like font size. - A screen for a given purpose (watching cable TV) should have as many functions as possible available with one touch and should have no buttons taking up real estate that arent applicable. - At your price point, Id be willing to bet many of your customers are over 45 and yet you use a font size that has 20 year olds squinting. - The swipe/select function just doesnt work very well. Probably fine for the developers playing with it all day but pretty bad for occasional users. Our installer is great and the core system is ok but the app used to interface with it really needs some help. As it sits I would not recommend the system to anyone. Its bad enough that we are planning to switch our home theater room to someone elses universal remote.

New app is no better!! 100% void of common sense! I strongly recommend that anyone considering buying this system to do their diligence first. If you want an easy to use & intuitive system--THIS IS NOT IT!

The system itself is great. It is highly customizable and easy to use if you have a good installer. Thats the key. Someone who knows what theyre doing can get the system to do just about anything you want. Its pretty remarkable. The app, however, needs some help. Its a little cumbersome to work through and the inability to choose how to sort your music is mind boggling. Also, with the most recent release, the notification screen widget no longer works.

Ive used every major control system out there. Control4, Crestron, RTI, etc... None can match the elegance, ease-of-use and reliability I have found with the new savant app. If you are having troubles, it may be that you need to locate a better integrator. One that understands the system and how to set it up properly. Once its set up, all of the super expensive "custom" programming can me done by the end user for FREE!!!!! Love my savant system. I get to make custom tv channel as and custom scenes in seconds.

This app could be great, but instead it constantly crashes and sets our heating system to max...isnt that great when it is 80 outside and the heater gets turned on....what a mess

I am a dealer/installer I had done Crestron Savant, Control 4 savant blows any other home automation system out of the water by far the best

Recently started having major battery issues running this on my iPad. The app will kill my battery in just a few hours. Would love to connect with support or a developer to provide more feedback.
